My Everyday Make-Up Routine

Hi guys and welcome to another blog post!

Today I thought I would share my everyday make-up routine with you. I am going to talk you through the products I use and also the brushes I use to apply them. I don’t think this post needs much of an introduction, so lets get straight into it.

Firstly, I like to have a base to apply my foundation onto and I use the BarryM Flawless Colour Correcting Primer. I just use my fingers to apply two pumps of this all over my face. This primer helps to reduce redness and fill in your pores to create a smooth base for your make-up.

I then move onto concealer. I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in the shade 010 Ivory and apply this to my under eye circles and to any blemishes. To blend this out I use the Real Techniques Beauty Blender and I also use this to apply my foundation. The foundation I use is the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation in the shade 100 Ivory. I start by applying a small, pea sized amount of this onto the Beauty Blender and then distribute the product evenly over my forehead, cheeks, nose and chin and blend it out.

To set my base, I use the Rimmel Clear Complexion Translucent Pressed Power and apply this using the Superdrug Kabuki Brush.

Moving onto contour. I start with the Collection Bronze Glow Matt Powder in the shade 1 Terracotta. Using a small powder brush, I blend this into the hollows of my cheekbones just to give them a bit of depth. I am not a fan of a sharp contour, so I just like to use a small amount of this. I then use a slanted powder brush to apply my blush to the apples of my cheeks. The blush I use is the L'Oreal Le Blush in the shade 145. Again, I only like to use a small amount of this as I just want to add some colour back into my face, I don't want to look like I have just been on a 10 mile run! And now for everyones favourite part, the highlight! I use the MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter in the shade Pink Shimmer and I use the Primark Fan Brush to apply this to my cheekbones and the tip of my nose.

My favourite part of my make-up routine has got to be the eyes. For eyeshadow, I am using the Make-Up Revolution Beyond Flawless Eye Shadow Palette. To start, I use the Superdrug Eyeshadow Blending Brush (grey packaging) to blend the shade Bronze into my crease and then I apply the shade Light Caramel onto my lid with the Superdrug Eye Shadow Brush (pink packaging). Once my eyeshadow is completed, I move onto the eyeliner. I use the Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner in the shade 001 100% Black. To create my go to winged liner, I begin by applying a thin line to my upper lash line. That's the easy part, the difficult part is the wing! I start from the tip of the wing and work my way back towards the line that I have already created. I always try to keep my wing quite subtle, but we all know that when it comes to evening out each side, the wings can tend to grow in length. Once I have created a wing that I am happy with, I use the Max Factor Excess Intensity Longwear Pencil Eyeliner in the shade 04 to tight line my upper lash line. More often than not, I end up poking myself in the eye at this point! For mascara, I am currently using the Max Factor High Volume & Definition Mascara in the shade Black and I am absolutely obsessed with it. The volume is incredible and it also does not clump your lashes together, which I find a lot of mascaras tend to do.

make-up look just isn't complete without the brows, am I right? I use the GOSH Eyebrow Palette in 001 and apply the blonde shade with the slanted end of the small Dual-Ended Eyeshadow Brush by Superdrug. I prefer to use a powder on my brows, as I feel this gives a much more natural look than a pencil. And finally, the lipstick. I am in love with the lipstick I am using at the moment and that's the shade Gone Greige from Maybelline. This lipstick lasts all day, even through eating and drinking, and the colour is absolutely gorgeous. To finish off the look, I use the Make-Up Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Setting Spray. If you have a problem with oily skin, like me, you have to give this a try. It is so affordable and keeps the oil at bay throughout the day, leaving your make-up in tact.

And this is the finished look! I hope you have enjoyed this blog post and if you would like to see more of my daily routines/get ready with me type posts, let me know in the comments.
