Blogmas Day 7 - Christmas Make-Up Look!

Hi Guys and welcome to Blogmas Day 7!

I've got my work Christmas party tomorrow, so I thought it would be an idea to show you my go to make-up look for the festive party season. Enjoy!

I start by applying my base as I always do; primer, foundation and then concealer. I have pictured the products that I use below, but if you would like some more detail on my base make-up and links to the products, then head over to my Everyday Make-Up Routine post to find out more. The only thing that differs in my base at this time of year, is the colour of my foundation. I have quite pale skin, but even I tan up slightly in summer. So in winter, when my tan begins to fade, I'm back to being my pale self again. Sadly, I then have to go back to the lightest shade available, which is 'Light Porcelain'.

I will then set my base with the Clear Complexion Translucent Pressed Power. For contour, I go in with the Sleek Contour Palette in the shade 'Light'. This is my go to trio for parties and special occasions because the blush has a slight shimmer to it, which makes it that little bit dressier.

Now for my favourite part of any make-up routine; the eyes. Over the festive period I tend to go for a gold, shimmery eye. I have taken the shade 'Bronze' in my crease and 'Light Caramel' on my lid, from the Make-Up Revolution Beyond Flawless palette.

I then go for a simple winged liner, and I use the Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Liner to create this. To bolden the look I will use a pencil eyeliner on my upper water line. This makes my lashes appear thicker, so I can avoid wearing falsies! The one that I am currently using is the Max Factor Excess Intensity pencil eyeliner.

To finish off the eyes I curl my lashes and then apply some mascara. I tend to switch up my mascara quite a lot, but the one I have used for this look is the Max Factor Voluptuous False Lash Effect mascara.

When my eyes are looking festive, I will fill in my brows as normal with the Revolution Brow Pomade in the shade 'Blonde'. And a Christmas make-up look would not be complete without a red lip. As it's winter and the weather is getting colder, my lips are very dry and flaky. So, before I apply my lippy, I am using the Bubblegum Lip Scrub from LUSH. The lipstick that I have used here is 'Cherry' from the GOSH Velvet Touch Matte collection.

Finally, I am setting everything in place with the Revolution Pro Fix Oil Control Fixing Spray. This makes sure that my make-up is going to stay in place all night.

And that's it! What is your go to make-up product during the festive period? Head over to my social media, which will be linked below as always, so that you never miss a new post. 18 sleeps to go...

Catch you tomorrow for Day 8!
