Eyewake Hydrating Eye Serum - Review!

Hi Guys and welcome to another Blog post!

Eyewake is a new brand working in partnership with Women's Aid. For every purchase made, Eyewake will make a donation to help victims of domestic violence. If you would like to do some research into the brand, you can find out more on their website. The people at Eyewake were kind enough to send me this product, so I thought I would write a review for you.

My first impression when I opened the package, after receiving it, was that it is very expensive for the size of the bottle. The product is £34.95 full price and the bottle is only 30ml. However, once I started using the Eyewake gel, I realised that a little goes a long way. You only need about half a pump, which is a pea sized amount, to cover both eyes. So, actually, on review the price isn't too bad, because the product will last you a long time.

The Eyewake gel is also smooth on the skin and sits nicely underneath make-up. I have used eye gels or creams before that clump or peel underneath my foundation, but Eyewake soaks into the skin really quickly and does not cause this problem.

Moving onto the results. What does Eyewake actually claim to do? This is the description direct from their website:

"EyeWake is the natural anti-fatigue eye gel you need to rejuvenate your skin.
It immediately targets dark circles and puffy skin around your eyes and continued use helps prevent the unattractive wrinkles around the eyes."
Let's start with the dark circles and puffy eyes. I have been using the gel for just over 3 weeks now, and I wouldn't say that it has made a noticeable difference to the colour under my eyes. I suppose they do look slightly lighter, but nothing signficant. It's not like I have a lack of sleep either; I get at least 8 hours every night. So, this aspect is a thumbs down from me. However, I do think that my eyes feel a lot less puffy and more awake.

I am only 20 years old, so I do not have any wrinkles yet and cannot comment on this aspect of it. All I can say is that it is very soothing and refreshing on the skin. I have noticed that the skin under my eyes looks and feels a lot smoother as well.

Overall, I am not raving about this. It is a good product and I love the idea behind it, with donations to Women's Aid. But I am just not sure it is worth the money. It is very expensive for what it is, and I have definitely tried cheaper alternatives that have the same effect.

As grateful as I am to Eyewake for sending me their product, I do not think I will be repurchasing it. However, if you would like to give this product a try for yourself, it is currently on offer at Amazon. The product is usually priced at £34.95, so hurry and get yours before the offer ends. Head over to my social media, which will be linked below as always, so that you never miss a new post.

Catch you next time!
